1. Application of these terms

These terms of use apply to the online service (hereinafter “Service”) produced and maintained by Membook Ltd (hereinafter “Service Provider”) at https://secure.membook.fi. The user of the service (hereinafter "User") confirms that he/she has read these terms of use (hereinafter "Terms of Use") and undertakes to comply with them in all use of the service.

2. Changing the Terms of Use

The Service Provider has the right to unilaterally change these Terms of Use by notifying the User thereof by e-mail or via the Service. The changes will take effect fourteen (14) days after the notification. By using the Service, you accept the changes made to the Terms of Use.

The User may terminate the use of the Service by e-mail or via the Service at any time if he or she so wishes.

3. Registration

Use of the service requires registration. By registering, the user can use the service to the extent specified by the access rights. User information is registered in Membook's user register. The username is personal. The user is responsible for all activities that take place with his / her account and undertakes to keep the account and its password carefully.

Registering for Membook does not automatically make the user a Membook customer. A customer relationship is formed if a user sets up their own community on Membook with the “Create Community” button. After this, the information of the user and the established community is stored in Membook Oy's customer register. This customer relationship follows the general terms and conditions of the service.

4. EU Data Protection Regulation and Registry Privacy Policies

The Service Provider processes the personal data of registered Users as required by the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data is collected in the user register only for a legitimate purpose, such as providing information and managing the user relationship. Personal data will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties without the user's consent, except as provided by law.

See more detailed documentation according to the information obligation: Membook as registrar.

5. Prohibited proceedings

All violations of the applicable Finnish laws and these terms of use are prohibited. The service provider has the right to immediately invalidate the user's ID and remove the user from the service if the user commits a prohibited procedure.

6. Responsibilities of the User

The user is responsible for his own actions in connection with the service in accordance with the laws in force, good manners and these terms of use. The user is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided during registration and use of the service. If you use Membook as a representative of an organization, you are responsible for your legal right to represent that organization and maintain a membership register for that organization in Membook.

7. Liability of the service provider

The service provider is not liable for any damage caused to the user that is not caused by the service provider's intent or gross negligence. The service provider strives to guarantee uninterrupted continuous access to the service, but cannot fully guarantee it. The site may be disrupted or blocked for reasons beyond the control of the service provider. The service provider is not liable for any damage caused by an external factor or other force majeure independent of the service provider. Force majeure is an obstacle beyond the control of the service provider which it could not reasonably have foreseen or the consequences of which it could not avoid.
